Suvendu to meet Union Home Ministry officials on July 7 ahead of demographic committee’s Bengal visit
West Bengal will be among the states included in the first phase of the Centre’s high-level committee's tours.

West Bengal and Tripura have received 1,100 kg of mangoes from the Bangladeshi government as a goodwill gesture.
These will be distributed among senior government officials, diplomats, and other dignitaries, Dhaka Tribune reported. It added that the consignments entered India via the Benapole Land Port in Jessore and the Akhaura Land Port in Brahmanbaria on Tuesday.

Overall, 600 kgs of mangoes were sent to the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala and another 500 kgs to the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata.
It includes the popular Haribhanga and Amrapali varieties from Bangladesh.
Quoting officials, the report stated that 100 kgs of mangoes were allocated for Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, while another 10 kgs were given to West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari.
The remaining will get distributed among prominent individuals, diplomats, and senior officials in the two states.
